As regards spare parts management Serco has been supporting the radar supervision services of the German Air Force in the technical guaranty of air space supervision tasks since many years as the Air force does not see her own activity focus in this field. In the performance of her tasks Serco copes with the high requirements of quality, deadline keeping and efficiency in spare parts business. At the same time Serco was charged with the management a federally owned storage facility in order to optimally cope with the service tasks regarding system support. Because of the increasing age of the devices to be maintained, in the field of system support Serco took responsibility for securing the system availability by means of the development of spare parts of components not longer available. Serco supplies these spare parts to industry and army in order to repair systems and devices of the radar supervision services of Germany Air Force and NATO. This service spectrum is extended by fast provision for the Arsenalbetrieb Wilhelmhaven (arsenal management) and the management of a federally owned storage facilitiy.
